    Distance: Long hike: 6.5 km; Medium: 4 km; Short: 3.8 km

    Description

    The longer hike will take Laidlaw Side Trail to Main Trail, South Outlier, South Outlier Connector to Carriage Side Trail, returning by way of Main Trail and Laidlaw Side Trail. Shorter options include staying on the South Outlier Side Trail to Main and returning by Laidlaw or taking Walter Tovell from Carriage back to Laidlaw.

    Location (Google Maps): Blue Mountains Section, Map 22. Meet at Nottawasaga Bluffs Conservation Area on 15/16 Sideroad Nottawasaga. From Singhampton, take Mill Town Road to Ewing Road to Sideroad 17/18 to Concession Road 10 to Sideroad 15/16. Parking will be on your right (parking fee required).

    Description

    We will hike a loop, including Main Trail, Keyhole, Lookout and Hamilton Bros. Side Trails. The shorter hike will return to parking by staying on Main Trail north from the Lookout.

    Terrain: Slippery and Steep Sections, Moderate

    Description

    We will follow Main Trail around the Pine River to where the new Pine River Valley Side Trail heads into the new Pine River Nature Reserve, just north of Bell Lookout. We will explore the new side trail, returning by way of Main and Kilgorie Side Trail, including two new reroutes that take parts of these trails off of 15 Sideroad. Shorter options include returning to parking by way of River Road after the first Pine River loop or continuing on the Main Trail, rather than following the Pine River Valley Side Trail.
