Description Hike leader is Alan McPherson. Hike starts at the parking lot and we cross the road to to do a small loop using the Rockhill Park Side Trail. We return to the parking lot and follow the main trail east through meadows and then forest. Stay on the main trail for several km until reaching the Oliver Creek Side Trail which will loop us back to the main trail and then return to the parking area.
Please arrive 10 minutes early for introductions so we can start at 9:00 am sharp. There are hilly sections which can be slick when wet. Most of our walk will be in the shade of the forest, but there are some open sections. Bring water and snacks as we will take regular breaks to enjoy views or other sights. Sunscreen and bug protection are always recommended. Bring extra water if it is a hot day.

Description A full moon hike around Splitrock Narrows is your chance to turn an ordinary evening into an adventure. Come with us as we take a short hike through the Dufferin Hi-lands to experience hiking by moonlight. Throughout the hike our guide Megan will teach us about phases of the moon and notable features of the summer night. This is a short, easy hike suitable for all adults and children over 6 years old.
The hike will start promptly at 8:30pm . Please wear long sleeved tops and long pants to avoid any mosquitos or ticks and bring bug spray. Wear sturdy shoes and bring a headlamp or flashlight which we will use only if necessary. Please bring a drink also. Pre-registration is required.
