HIking for Butter Tarts - Old Guelph Road to Dyments and Back

Terrain: Moderate – Some hills and/or some poor footing
Distance: 16 kms

Description

This is an out and back hike, no carpooling required.  We will hike at a moderate-brisk pace from highway 6 West along Bruce Trail, deviating from the trail  at the half way point, for a brief stop at Dyments Farm Market for butter tarts (or whatever catches your fancy), perhaps a little side trip to the Sydenham Lookout. Some climbing up and down escarpment between Old Guelph Road and Borers Falls, but lots of flat through Rock Chapel area to Dyments along the edge of the escarpment with some great views. Please dress appropriately for the weather and poles recommended. Please bring water and snacks/lunch.
