    Caledon Hills E2E Make Up Hike

    Description

    Welcome to the demanding Caledon Hills section! This northern hike is extremely hilly and challenging. We will meet at the Bruce Trail Parking lot at 5th Line Line EHS and will shuttle to Mono Center Community Centre to begin our hike. Please bring at least 3 liters of water with electrolytes, snacks, lunch, bug spray, sun glasses, and a very positive attitude! Due to the presence of ticks, long sleeves and long pants are recommended. Poles can be helpful in this area. I will be looking for volunteers to shuttle, pick up shuttle drivers and sweep.

    Description

    Join us on our a Friday bus hike to celebrate Healthy Parks Healthy People Day 2026 and explore Sandbanks Provincial Park in Picton, Prince Edward County, ON. We will be enjoying the world’s largest baymouth barrier dune formation, sandy beaches and breathtaking views along the edge of Lake Ontario.

    There will be a refreshment stop in Main Street Wellington after the hike before returning to Toronto. The village of Wellington features the Wellington Heritage Museum, the Wellington beach with a beautiful boardwalk along the shore to a lighthouse, and local restaurants, cafes and breweries.

    Note: No Fee will be charged for the Provincial Park entry since it is Healthy Parks Healthy People Day (free admission to Ontario provincial parks).

    City View Park to Grindstone Creek and Back

    Description

    This hike will explore the main trail and side trails from City View Park to Grindstone Creek and back,  There will be a number of steep sections along the way.  Dress for the wether condition and insects.  Bring plenty to drink and a snack as well as sunscreen and insect repellent.

    Please arrive at the meeting place by 8:15 am for an 8:30 am departure.

    The hike will be dependent on weather conditions.

    Enjoy the benefits of pausing for a yoga practice as we tour through the trails, parkland and Historic Niagara-on-the-Lake. No mat required. Movement will focus on a flow of standing poses designed especially for hikers.     Meeting at 4:15 pm roadside on Fallbrook Trail, we will hike around the Roberts ST and Irwin Quarry ST and then cross the road to the main trail and around a couple of side trails that you may not have known were there.  Bring water and bug spray/bug net.
