Pace: Leisurely – 3km/hr or less
Terrain: Easy – Mostly flat and usually good footing
Distance: 8 – 9 km.Description
Scotsdale Farm is on of my favourite places to hike. One can follow the main Bruce Trail over some rather challenging trails or relax with some of the many side trail. We will follow the Bennett Side Trail east from the farm house and barn to where it meets 27th Side Road and then return to the farm. Snack/lunch will be beside a pleasant creek. Meet in the main parking lot at 9:45 am. for a 10:00 am. start. Bring water, a snack, sunscreen, insect repellent. Poles might be useful as there is one section with small rocks and tree roots. Depending on our timing I may extend the hike slightly. I will contact you a couple of days before the hike to give you more contact information.
