    Sycamore Dr. is 3blocks south of highway 7 and 2 blocks north of John Street, parking lot is across plaza of Dollarama and Star box

    We will explore Valleyview and Maple view parks, and  walk  along  German Mill Creek, for a distance of 7-8 km. Difficulty Level: 2 (Moderate)

    Location (Google Maps): Meet at Kilbride parking lot behind Kilbride Public School (6611 Panton St.) by tennis courts (ignore oneway arrows) and shuttle to Rattlesnake Pt. Conservation Area. Drivers with Halton Conservation Passes will be needed to help with the shuttle and should preregister at Rattlesnake CA.

    Terrain: Strenuous – Hilly with steep climbs and some poor footing

    Description

    From Rattlesnake Pt. CA we will follow conservation side trails and main BT along the escarpment and descend/ascend Nassagaweya Canyon into Crawford Lake CA. From there we will wind our way through the CA and on to the calcium pits/caves at Twiss Rd. the last leg of our hike will follow the main BT thru a nature reserve to the new “Kilbride Pass” and parking lot.

    Please wear appropriate layers and bring water, snack and lunch. Icers  may be necessary

    Baked goods should be expected:)

    Terrain: Strenuous – Hilly with steep climbs and some poor footing

    Description

    A strenuous, hilly, up and down hike with great views. We park and meet in Dundas Driving Park not far from the washrooms, and follow city streets to trail leading to Dundas Peak and Tew’s Falls. Wear sturdy hiking shoes or hiking boots, bring icers, layers of clothing appropriate to weather, bring water and snack. Optional outing for beverage/food after.
