Terrain: Strenuous
Distance: 25.2 kmDescription
Starting in 2009 Eibert Dykstra led a series of hikes on the Conservation Trail in New York State. It took several years to complete the 295km trail meandering from the Pennsylvania border to Niagara Falls where it meets up with the Bruce Trail. In honor of my first hike leaders – Eibert and Everett Collins (who was on all these hikes) I will lead 3 hikes on the Conservation Trail this year. The first sections are more rugged starting in the Allegany State Park and extend through the ski area of Ellicottville. This is the area where we will hike this year. Sections of these hikes will be strenuous. If you commit to these hikes, pack a lunch, snacks and plenty of water. Plan on spending a full day away. We will be carpooling from Fort Erie. Passport or equivalent is required. To register or for more information contact Hike Leader.4th of 6 hikes in Sydenham section. 2nd half E2E series
