Description

This is the twelfth hike in the series. Almost done! The hike includes Knapp Lookout, Moss Crevice Ladder, hiking through Malcolm Bluff Shores Nature Reserve with views of White Cloud, Hay, and Griffith Islands.

Description

This is the final hike of the series! Our hike will take us above Mallory Beach with views over Colpoy’s Bay and through the community of Colpoy’s Bay. The hike includes Vanishing Stream Nature Reserve, the Corran ruins and a spiral staircase before being greeted by Wiarton Willie and ending our adventure at the beach and park.

Location (Google Maps): Meet at Scotsdale Farm, 13807 Trafalgar Rd, Georgetown. From Hwy 401 at Exit 328 take Trafalgar Rd north for 10 km to where Trafalgar joins Hwy 7 at traffic lights. Turn left and follow for 3 km until Hwy 7 swings left. At that point continue straight ahead on Trafalgar for 2 km. Entrance to Scotsdale Farm is on your right. Look for the blue sign. BTC Map 13

We will hike west from Scotsdale Farm to the Duff Pit side trail, returning on the new Trafalgar side trail and Great Esker side trail. Mostly flat with some rocky sections.

Description

This is the second hike in the series and takes us through the Petun Conservation Area with views over Osler Bluffs, then through Pretty River Valley Provincial Park including the highest point on the Bruce Trail.  We will also spend some time at Standing Rock and Caves Side Trail.

Description

Main Bruce Trail and Rockside Side Trail, there and back, will hike 7 km reaching into Terra Cotta and return after snack break.
Bring water, snack, sunscreen and insect repellent. Poles are recommended.

After hike, there is an optional visit to Spirit Tree Estate Cidery nearby, less than 1 km on Boston Mill Rd. for refreshments, snacks.
