    Directions: Airport Road north of Highway 9, drive 2 km to 7th line on the right. Parking lot is on the corner of Airport Road and 7th Line.

    Description

    The Caledon Hills Bruce Trail Club manages just over 40 bird boxes located on 5 BTC properties. Join Don Hamilton as he cleans out the boxes to prepare for next spring’s nesting. Don will also take an inventory of birds that nest in each box. This nature walk promises to be very educational and entertaining.

    Location (Google Maps): Nottawasaga Bluffs Conservation Area, Blue Mountains Section. Parking area at km 21.9 Map 22. There is a small parking area off 15/16 Sideroad provided by the Nottawasaga Valley Conservation Authority. A parking fee is charged.

    Description

    From the parking area off  15/16 Sideroad, we will loop through the trails using the main trail  and side trails, about 12 km. Please note: PARKING FEES APPLY. Bring water, snacks, (poles  optional). Questions?     Insects Preparing for Winter – should “we” cocoon, hike, fly away, bury ourselves in the sand, or give up? Expect to observe lots of insect action along parts of the main Trail and Hockleycrest Side Trail.

    Description

    From the Community Centre we will access the Elora Gorge trails. Following the hike we will explore the Town of Elora and all the Halloween decorations.

    Weather permitting we can picnic in the park, (picnic tables are available) and /or enjoy lunch at one of the several Restaurants.
