Location (Google Maps): Meet at Winston Churchill Blvd. where the Caledon Trailway intersects the road. Driving directions: Go north on Highway 410, it becomes Highway 10, turn left on King Street, right on Winston Churchill Blvd., about 1 km to the roadside parking on the right.

Description

A loop hike consisting parts of the main Bruce Trail and Terra Cotta ST. No dropout, hiking boots, no dogs, bring 2 liters of water and snack. Register online for the hike. Maximum group size 10; physical distancing to be observed throughout the hike.

A leisurely walk along Burlington Beach and back followed by patio lunch at Pepperwood Cafe or one of the other patios in the area. They are not taking reservations so we will take our chances.

Location (Google Maps): BT parking at km 29.4 (BT ed. 29 map 20), GPS N44.1483, W80.1186.
Directions: Go north on Hwy 10 to Hwy 89, right (east) on Hwy 89 2.7 km, left (north) on 1st Line ECL 6.0 km. Turn right into trailhead parking (inconspicuous entrance!). This is just south of Dufferin Road 17 (a.k.a. 10 Sideroad).

Description

From the start point, we’ll follow the main trail south to the Mulmur Lookout (km 21.9) for lunch, then return to the meeting point via the main trail, Oliver Creek Side Trail and Moss Haven Side Trail. Easy surface and pretty creeks. Bring lunch/snack and water.
Afterwards: refreshment/pub stop (pandemic permitting).

Note:  Maximum hikers has been raised to 20, which will be led as two separate groups, max 10 each.

The parking lot entrance is on the south side of Hockley Road 370 meters east of the stoplight on Highway 10 at Hockley Road a.k.a. County Road 16 and opposite Mono-Amaranth Public School.

Description

This is a very easy and enjoyable 10 km loop walk designed to get you back into hiking and rid of those extra pounds. Island Lake is a scenic nature walk through marshlands (about 2 km of boardwalk) and across two islands.
