    Description

    We will hike north on the new Field & Forest Side Trail and complete a 2 km loop back to rd 91 via a very scenic section of main trail . We will then cross 91 and do a southern 2 km loop past interesting crevices & forest back to our cars via Walker Aggregates side trail .

    Description

    We will meet at Tim Hortons on First Street for carpooling. Then take a 35-minute drive over to Old Baldy in Kimberley. From the upper parking lot, we will take a 15-minute hike through forests to the edge of the Niagara Escarpment, where we begin to experience the incredible views overlooking Beaver Valley and the Village of Kimberley. Then, we will continue up the short incline to the peak of Old Baldy 200 meters above the hamlet of Kimberley for the unforgettable panoramic view! Icers, or snowshoes, and poles are recommended. Bring water and dress appropriately for the weather.

    Description

    Enjoy a winter morning of snowshoeing through the forest and taking in amazing views overlooking the Georgian Bay area. We will begin our extended loop hike of the Bruce Trail through the Nottawasaga Lookout Provincial Nature Reserve at km 42.4 (map 23). We will walk the northern part of the loop and continue on until we reach the opening overlooking a pond (point 44.407, -80.249 on the Bruce Trail App). We will turn around and head back, taking the southern part of the loop and returning to our cars. The total walking distance will be ~4km.

    Description

    We meet at the Museum parking lot for a 9am start. The hike follows the Train Trail south until we reach the Hamilton Drain Trail. We then follow the Pretty River along dog walker paths and town trails to the Sunset Point Park before making it back to the museum. The hikers have an option to visit the museum and learn of Collingwood’s past.
