We will carpool to the Bruce Trail parking lot on cty rd 91 (km 37.4,map 22) and loop north for 2 km through a maple bush and along a scenic scarp edge back to rd 91, After a look at Franks Kiln we will loop south via interesting crevices and peek at the big quarry before returning to our start via the Walker Aggregates Side Trail, rd 91. - 12November 12, 2025

Roadside parking on Veterans Way, just south of Fernbrook Drive at the Ganaraska Hiking Trail Marker KM15. We will hike the section between Veterans Way and Klondike Park Rd. We will follow the crest of the sand dunes to Klondike Park Rd. Our return route will go through some ancient beaches created by receding water. Footing is mostly hard packed sand through oak and pine forest. - 15November 15, 2025

Complete the Blue Mountain End to End southbound over 4 weekdays to earn the lovely Stained Glass badge. Hikes will be a moderate pace with time taken to enjoy interesting natural features and even take in some cool side trails along the way! This section has some hilly sections so hikers should be in good physical condition and be able to walk for 5 or more hours per day.*Note that there will be parking fees charged in several locations as we do our car shuttling. Enjoy a morning of forest bathing along the Bruce Trail. There is lots to see on this hike – the preserved lime kiln, the “wedding tree”, the crevasses alongside the trail, and the amazing views overlooking the Georgian Bay area.After meeting at Tim Horton’s, First Street, Collingwood, we will begin our shuttle hike where the Bruce Trail crosses County Rd 91 (at km 37.4 from map 22). We will walk along Franks Lime Kiln Side Trail and then head north through the maple forest. We will then cross 26/27 Sideroad and continue following the Bruce Trail through the Nottawasaga Lookout Provincial Nature Reserve to km 42.4 (map 23).
