Location (Google Maps): Meet in the Beaver Valley Ski Club lower parking lot. Access off Grey Road 30 from Grey Road 13. There is a large wooden entranceway to the ski club. The parking lot is on the Valley Crossover Side Trail.

Description

This is a loop hike which heads east on the Valley Crossover Side Trail, south to walk down Campbell’s Hill road then back north Lower Valley Rd to the parking lot.  A good workout with some walking on forest sided rural roads.

Description

Welcome to the Saturday Seekers, as we’re calling this series of hikes, since the goal is to earn the BV Green Apple End to End badge!  All hikes in this series will include a car shuttle, masks must be worn in cars, and please be prepared to take a turn as a shuttle driver.  Trails may be wet at this time of year so it’s a good idea to have gaiters handy.  Experience with hiking about 20 km in a day at a medium pace is essential.  There will be a short snack break in the morning and afternoon, as well as a longer lunch break.  Ensure that you have sufficient water. Please read the hiking guidelines below.

Today’s hike takes us along the escarpment above the Blue Mountains Ski Clubs, into Loree Forest, then south through forest and along fields to 12th Sideroad and includes about 2 km of road walking.

Description

This loop route will take us through some mature forest, along a lovely stream, to a waterfall, and will include a bit of pleasant road walking.

Description

Beginning at Metcalfe Rocks parking lot we will folllowing the Bruce Trail west towards Duncan Crevice. Enjoy the beautiful woodland and streams heading towards Pinnacle Rock. After climbing by the base of this impressive rock we will hike by the numerous crevices in the provincial park and then leave the main trail to return via the Chuch Grant side trail to 10th line.

Description

This is a “keyhole” loop hike taking in Wodehouse Karst topography including Bill’s Creek and a walk through Kimberley Forest.  We may or may not encounter mud so please be prepared.

Description

Our hike begins at the beautiful Hogg’s Falls. Then we travel northward along the edge of the lower Beaver Valley. Cross-valley views, some streams, and long sections of mature forest will be enjoyed. The Cuckoo Valley has a beautiful view stop. At the Eugenia Falls Conservation Area, we turn around and return to Hogg’s Falls.

Please bring lunch and water.
