Description We will initially hike on part of the Kolapore trails, and then go off trail along the base of the Niagara Escarpment, then return on the Kolapore trails. Hiking distance is about 8 km, but hiking time is 3 – 3 1/2 hours due to some rough terrain. Bring lunch and water.
Description The hike begins at pretty Webwood Falls and makes its way to the terminus of the Beaver Valley section at Blantyre. Bring snacks and water.
Description Join us for a botanical walk to see all the interesting flowers that make their home around two examples of Wodehouse Karst topography. We will be traveling through new forests and old field habitats to the Karst area. If time allows we will travel further to take in the deciduous forest with wonderful views along the upper edge of the Beaver Valley, ending off at Bill’s Creek karst waterfall which is another example of a rare escarpment landform. Bring snacks and water.
After the Hike, Ontario Flora will be having a Open House Celebration and Plant Sale in the afternoon and evening (check website – ontarioflora.ca) with special art showing of Kevin Post’s native plant art and photography (5 minute drive).
Description We will climb the Valley Crossover side trail and then go South on the main trail to the Campbell’s Graham’s Hill side trail and then North on the main trail back to Ed’s house.
