We will shuttle to km 54, roadside parking at the west end of North St., west of County Rd 13, at the north end of Eugenia.  Bring lunch, snacks and sufficient water.  Participants must register with leader.

Location (Google Maps): Map 28 Meet at 8:00 a.m. km 114.3, off road at Blantyre, on the east side of Grey Road 12, just south of the trail crossing. Do not park on the shoulder and do not block farmers’ access to field. You may park in the grassy ditch on the east side of the road.

Falling Water East

A botanical walk, a loop from the main parking lot at Hogg’s Falls to see some of the bottomland plant species as well as travelling through the deciduous forest to take a look at some of the ephemeral spring flowers along the upper valley edge. Bring water and a snack.  After the hike, Claire will be offering a visit to Ontario Flora’s Native Plant Nursery, if anyone wishes to continue to the nursery it is a short drive away (15 minute drive).

A 4 hour (12 km) photography hike to capture the amazing views and spring flowers. Bring water and a snack. Beginners with “point and shoot” and/or cell phone cameras welcomed. Register with leader.

Description

A round trip hike from Halfway Log Dump Trailhead to the Grotto, along the Halfway Log Dump Trail.   Views of Flower Pot Island, Cliffs of the Peninsula.  Bring: snacks, lunch, water, bathing suit, sun screen, insect repellent.

Description

This is a hike south including the main trail, the Hogg’s Falls Upper and Lower Side Trails and back on the main trail.  Ice cream stop afterwards at Top of the Rock.  Bring lunch, snacks and sufficient water.

Description

A fun hike with stops to explore the trail and for nature activities.  The hike is geared towards kids ages 4 to 10 and kids must be accompanied by an adult.  Hiking boots or running shoes are required.  Bring water, a snack and insect repellent.  No pets please.
