Description
Please join this hike as we explore the beautiful area of Rattlesnake Conservation Area. Hopefully most of the snakes will have retreated to their hibernaculums for the winter. We will hike north using a combination of Bruce Trail and Conservation Area trails, descend into Nassagaweya Canyon and then ascend back to Rattlesnake Point. We will get swiping views over the canyon to Crawford Lake CA and from the canyon we can look up to the escarpment with its soaring rock faces. Please meet in the lower parking lot at 9:45 am. for a 10:00 am. start. You will need to make a reservation with Halton Parks to enter and park here. Bring water, a snack, sunscreen and hiking poles if using. I will send an email with my contact information a few days ahead.
