Description
On Tuesday, September 22nd volunteers are needed to plant wetland plants around the pond at Whitetail Refuge as part of a wetland restoration project. The event is being coordinated by Nottawasaga Valley Conservation Authority (NVCA). Registration is through eventbrite by cutting and copying the following into your browser:

Wetlands play a very important role in watershed health, help us plant wetland plants along the shore.
Parking for 10 cars on site, overflow parking at Mono Community Centre, 700m north. 754483 Mono Centre Rd, Mono, ON L9W 5W9
Will meet at the entrance on Mono Centre Rd. and walk down to the project area.
Come help us rehabilitate a wetland in Mono Centre. We will be planting the shoreline of a former pond that is being rehabilitated into a wetland. Join NVCA staff and our partners at North American Native Plant Association as we plant on this Bruce Trail Conservancy property. Planting along a pond can be muddy, so please come prepared with appropriate clothing. To get to the planting site we will need to walk along a steep trail for 700m. Snacks will be provided by the North American Native Plant Society, but please bring lunch and a refillable water bottle.
