Enter Niagara college from Taylor Rd. and park by the Wetland Trail. We will gather at 9:45/9:50 at the Wetland Trail entrance and head out at 10 am.

Join us for our Welcome Week Rainbow Hike offered in collaboration with Bridges Niagara Immigrant and Refugee Services, the Niagara Falls Library, PFLAG Niagara and the Niagara Local Immigration Partnership.
Welcoming week is an annual campaign that brings together immigrants, newcomers and long-term residents. This hike highlights community connections with newcomers and is an intentionally 2SLGBQTIA+ inclusive space. Everyone is welcome.
Choose from one of two hike options at this community event. Both start at 10 am at the same location:
- Hike 1: Biodiversity hike
- Hike 2: Active hike
On the biodiversity hike, explore the natural environment and learn about the plants, trees and animals you meet along the way. This hike will go at a gentle pace and the hike leader, Mary-lyn, will be sharing information along the way. The terrain is a mix of flat earth and some rocky areas.
On the active hike, we will hike up and over the escarpment from Niagara College through Woodend Conservation area and back. The path is rocky and involves climbing up and down the escarpment. The pace will be moderate but the terrain has some challenging stretches. Shoes with a good tread are needed and hiking poles are recommended. We may have some poles you can borrow if needed.
Park at Niagara College and meet at the Wetland trail entrance by 9:50 to check in with the hike leaders.
