Support local conservation and stewardship!
Baking for Conservation is a unique and intimate culinary experience and fundraiser for BTC Conservation on the Saugeen Peninsula.
Combine your interest in baking with your love for the Bruce Trail. This is a hands-on learning opportunity in a home kitchen setting. The baking group will make five different types of biscotti. Biscotti are a wonderful holiday gift or treat for anytime. Get ahead of your holiday baking by experimenting with proven biscotti recipes. All supplies are provided. Take-home recipes, tips and samples are provided by our certified culinary host, Laura Tilly. After making the biscotti, enjoy a delightful biscotti-tea party. This lovely home setting is nestled at the forest fringe near Cape Chin North with the sound of the gentle waves of Georgian Bay lapping upon the nearby shore.
Optional - join us for a walk or swim to the shore and enjoy the beautiful view of picturesque Georgian Bay. And/or, join a short pre-event hike to see examples of local conservation at a nearby BTC Nature Reserve. Contact Marg @ pbtcoutreach@gmail.com, if interested in the pre-event hike.
Free will donation. All proceeds will be dedicated to Bruce Trail Conservancy for local PBTC Conservation projects. Please consider donating generously. Tax receipt will be given for donations over $20.
