Please join us for another Iroquoia Naturalist Hike Series- Discovering Nature One Hike at a Time.
Spring is the time for migrating raptors and every year, for over 50 years, volunteers have been monitoring the annual migration of hawks, eagles, falcons and vultures over the Niagara Peninsula.
Did you see the last BTC webinar Spring Raptor Migration at Beamer Memorial Niagara Peninsula Hawkwatch https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nrcjba1Zwrc If you haven't watched it, I highly recommend it.
Keith Dieroff: President, Niagara Peninsula Hawkwatch, will meet us on this hike and be available to answer any questions we might have. I will also have a raptor handout so we can try to identify any raptors we see.
Parents: If you would like to bring children, Spring Youth badges will be available for $7.
Please dress for the weather, bring enough water and snacks for your hike. Bring hiking poles if you use them and wear gaiters in case of muddy conditions. Binoculars might be useful.
Spring should be upon us by April 12 so we'll look for the early spring ephemerals, as well.
