    Terrain: Moderate – Some hills and/or some poor footing, Strenuous – Hilly with steep climbs and some poor footing
    Distance: 5km

    Description

    The second of our club’s Passport To Nature series. Family Day event hosted by the Blue Mountain Bruce Trail Club. Drive to the Nottawasaga Bluffs Conservation Area and park in the main lot, then take the short walk east along the road to the trailhead. Club members will be there to guide you through the area and participate in family friendly nature activities such bird, tree, and animal track identification. The trail is a mix of difficulty levels through hardwood forest, being moderate for the most part with the entertaining Keyhole area being quite challenging. Dress for the weather (clothing layers, icers, sturdy warm boots, snowshoes) Great lookout view in this area. This hike is has some hills and rocky footing, so hiking boots or trail runners are recommended. Bring water. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

    Distance: 4 km

    Description

    The fourth in our Passport To Nature series. We will drive to a suitable start point for a hike through the many loop trails off the Eleventh Line, just west of Collingwood. The trails are mostly in the trees and well-sheltered. We often to hear nighttime animal calls on these moonlit hikes. The hike will be about two hours. Bring a snack and water. Dress for the weather. February’s full moon is commonly known as the Snow Moon. Moonlight Badge available for $10.
