One of the positive things we have seen since last year is the increased interest in hiking. Since early 2020, the Club has welcomed hundreds of new members joining the community, among a lot are new hikers who are eager to learn more about the trail, the hiking and the community. We think this is a good time to have an information session to share our knowledge, experience, tips and stories about the Bruce Trail and hiking(particularly the winter hiking), so you can learn how to enjoy the winter hiking in safe style. The session will cover: Bruce Trail and hiking programs with Toronto Bruce Trail Club; Hiking 101 and winter hiking; register for events on Hike Schedule. You are welcome to join with all questions you want to ask about hiking, the Club, the Bruce Trail, and etc.

Maybe this will be the time, unless it has already joined it friends in their winter hiberculum. Meet in the LOWER parking lot at 9:45 am. for a 10:00 am. (If the lower lot is closed already, park in the upper lot. Bring water, a snack/lunch and hiking poles if using. Expect one long, steep hill down and another more gentle hill going up. We will hike north and then take the Leech Porter side trail down to rejoin the main trail heading south and then up and returning via a side trail to the parking lot. Great views over the escarpment towards Crawford Lake. Two back to back reservations required to complete this hike. I suggest the first at 9:40 am.
